Message from the Chair

It is an honor and privilege to be your newly appointed chairperson. I would like to thank our outgoing chairperson, Scott Waite, for his incredible contribution to making our council the best in the business. Additionally, many thanks to outgoing Executive Committee members Christina Brown and Frank Vassallo for their seemingly endless contributions. You will all be missed!

I’m grateful to the entire membership for electing three new and very committed individuals to fill the void left by these term-limit departures. Please join me in congratulating and welcoming M.J. Coon (Ent FCU), Pam Finch (Mid Minnesota FCU), and Erin Mendez (Orange County Teacher’s FCU) as new Executive Committee members. I have the utmost confidence that your Executive Committee will continue to represent the entire membership and drive our council forward.

It is hard to believe our annual conference ended over a month ago. It was a fabulous gathering of some of the top financial professionals in our business. Hopefully everyone made it out of the Russian Embassy and got home safely. Be sure to mark your calendars for next year’s conference being held in New Orleans. The dates are May 21-24, 2006.

In the meantime, be on the lookout for more of the great benefits of our council. We have three regional roundtable meetings coming up in Dallas, San Francisco, and Tampa. We expect more white papers, educational material, and discounts on other CUNA activities. And of course, stay in tune with the Listserv and check our website regularly for the latest in CFO Council developments.
