A "Financial Flash" is intended to be a more technical, how-to type paper that helps address an immediate need vs. white papers, which are higher level, broader in scope and somewhat more philosophical or trend oriented.

The landscape for overdraft protection services provided to the consumer has seen several changes over the last 5 years. This year will be no different with new regulatory amend-ments becoming effective in 2010 and proposed legislative bills in both the United States House and Senate. This Financial Flash gives a general overview of the history of over-draft practices, current overdraft protection services, effective and proposed changes along with implications credit unions need to consider.
