Dan Leclerc*, CFO, Lacamas Community Credit Union, Camas, Washington

Assets: $155M | Members: 15,500

When I started as the Vice President of Finance at Park Side Federal Credit Union in Montana in May of 2002, I was searching for a resource and tool to help me succeed in my new position. What I found easily exceeded my expectations – the CUNA CFO Council! All the tools available to Council members – the List serve, White Papers, the Annual Conference and all the members helped me help my credit union double in Assets after 5 years and also helped me become the Chief Financial Officer for Lacamas Community Credit Union in Washington, a credit union almost twice the size of Park Side! The relationships I have made and the things I learned from fellow members have had a tremendous impact on me and my career. In an effort to give back, I have served on the Benefits and Membership Committees and am currently serving an appointed one year term on the Executive Committee. I ask for your support to continue serving you on the Executive Committee and I will work to promote the continued sharing of ideas, experiences, and solutions to help make the CFO Council an invaluable resource for any CFO.

Jason Peach, CCUE, CFO, West Community Credit Union, O'Fallon, Missouri

Assets: $106M | Members: 17,000

As an active member of the Council these past five years, I have looked forward to the opportunity to serve the membership in a more deep and meaningful way. Volunteering time on the conference and membership committees has provided me an invaluable glimpse at all of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes. The CFO Council is the predominant source for knowledge sharing for credit union CFOs across the nation, and it is important to me that this strong tradition continues. I promise I will give my full commitment to the Council if elected, and so I humbly ask for your vote.

Steve Smith*, CPA, CFO, Sharonview Federal Credit Union, Fort Mill, South Carolina

Assets: $838M | Members: 61,000

I have worked at Sharonview FCU in a CFO capacity since 1998.  I will have served on the Executive Committee one year in May and currently chair the Benefits Committee and serve on the Membership Committee.

I wish to extend my service on the Executive Committee to continue practicing my servant leadership philosophy with my peers on the CFO Council.  As an active participant on the list serve, I enjoy sharing ideas with my fellow CFOs.  Serving on the Executive Committee provides me greater opportunities to do more of the same while helping to build a stronger credit union movement.

Wilma Wells, CFO, T&C Federal Credit Union, Bloomfield Hills, Michigan

Assets: $598M | Members: 64,000

I have been a proud member of the CUNA CFO Council for approximately 13 years (I've lost count). With more than twenty-five years of credit union experience, I have seen the industry grow and change, and our Council has grown and changed with it.

As an active member of the Council, I presently serve on the Conference Committee, Regulatory Committee, Education Committee, and Communications Committee.

As an Executive Committee member, I would strive to continue to promote the values and goals of the Council. Providing educational and networking opportunities for Council members to assist with individual professional development and to help our credit unions succeed is an important function of the Council.

Networking with peers and drawing on their expertise is a concept that is unique to credit unions. The CFO Council is comprised of highly skilled individuals with a desire to support each other. The Executive Committee strives to promote this as well as the values and ethics important to all of us in this profession.

Brandon Michaels, CFO, SF Fire Credit Union, San Francisco, California

Assets: $437M | Members: 21,300

I have learned an enormous amount from this Council through the patience, commitment and collective knowledge of all of you.  While I have not been a member as long as some, I have been involved nearly from the moment I joined.  I have served on the Conference, Education, and Membership Committees of the Council.  Current and past committees have done a remarkable job in transforming this council into a 'must-join' for all CFOs.  I want to further their advancements by providing a 'breath of younger-air.'  Credit Unions are at a crossroads and I hope to bring my innovative ideas to the Council.  I would appreciate your vote!
